CZ Biohub Chicago focuses on engineering technologies to make precise, molecular-level measurements of biological processes within human tissues, with the ultimate goal of understanding and treating the inflammatory states that underlie many diseases.

Harnessing the Immune System

CZ Biohub New York will first harness the natural capabilities of our immune cells to detect and fix abnormalities in our bodies at very early stages. It will then bioengineer immune cells to create new capabilities to detect and potentially treat diseases, including cancers such as ovarian and pancreatic cancer and neurodegenerative diseases like Parkinson's or Alzheimer's, before they become untreatable.
