At the Chan Zuckerberg Biohub Network, our mission is to understand the underlying mechanisms of disease and develop new technologies that will lead to actionable diagnostics and effective therapies.
In pursuit of that mission we take a dual-pronged approach. We provide free and open access to an array of scientific tools, datasets, and other resources that we have developed. And we make our innovations available for licensing by third parties so that our inventions are developed in the marketplace for public benefit.
The technologies in our IP portfolio fall into four broad categories – biology, chemistry, engineering, and software – and include inventions both by intramural CZ Biohub scientists and engineers and by CZ Biohub Investigators from our university partners.
