Akila is an expert in cell and molecular techniques in zebrafish. She is studying the unique regenerative capabilities of these organisms and uncovering the underlying mechanisms that drive tissue repair and regeneration.

Jacqueline is applying her background in molecular techniques to develop genetically modified zebrafish and improve methods for zebrafish transgenesis.

Besides being our aquaculture specialist, Tiger works on generating transgenic zebrafish lines with fluorescent tags of relevant signaling proteins.

Yuening is a joint member of the Royer Group, working on developing next-generation spatial transcriptomics platforms to study zebrafish development. Her background spans molecular and cellular biology, advanced imaging, and computational analysis, with extensive hands-on experience building spatial transcriptomics workflows from the ground up.

Allyson has worked with African cichlid fish, zebrafish, and mice as model systems to study developmental biology questions.

Emma loves zebrafish and specializes in gene editing techniques. She is working with the zebrafish groups across CZ Biohub SF and helping to develop new tools for fish transgenesis and new transgenic lines.
